Brunson was also his inspiration to learn more about the game of No-Limit Texas Hold'em. It may have taken him a long time to succeed but it was all worth it when he succeeded in his first poker tournament in 1987.

Born in Mountain Grove, Missouri on July 5, 1951, Brad Daugherty finally knew he was a full-fledges professional poker player when he won in the main event of the World Series of Poker in 1991. Of course, it was the first time that this professional poker player ever earned a World Series of Poker bracelet. Furthermore, he was also overwhelmed to be awarded the large amount of US$1,000,000.

After such victory, Brad Daugherty has continued to play in more poker tournaments and has continued to participate in more poker events. However, this professional poker player has realized that it is not only playing poker that he loves. He has also started to pursue another ambition of his, which is to become an author of poker books.
